Tonight's Corrie
45 Answers
Did anyone record the first episode of tonight's Corrie ? It was weird cos when Audrey sat Maria down for a cup of tea,( I think it was that bit) a text message came through really clearly even though they both ignored it. I thought it was my son's phone cos it sounded the same as his but he wasn't here, even though it sounded as if it was coming from our hallway. I've been spooked by it ! Can anyone help ?

What I did think was strange though (perhaps it was in the episode before) was when Audrey unzipped Maria's case and had a look inside. Surely you wouldn't do that with something as personal as somebody's case, and I couldn't see why Audrey had reason to.

Well I agree with Lofty, it was banal.
Ok, I can go along with the sadness of it all, and maybe it could have been a good storyline, and even with some real acting (other than Li-urm! Li-urm!) it might have been ever-so-slightly convincing.
Anyway, my main gripe is that I would have thought it highly unlikely that someone would not have broken down completely in front of their partner if they loved them and then told them the whole saga.
Also, in that half hour episode beforehand and then afterwards and then the next one, how come Li-urm and Carla, and Lloyd and everyone else on the street had to suddenly keep mentioning babies and being a daddy and being a family and etc etc. Wasnt much mention of it before, but you knew that every time Li-urm opened his gob that he would murmur something about our kid my baby family. It was quite galling as the script writers were plainly over-emphasising it all and greasing everyone up for the old tearful punch line. Talk about overkill (no malice intended).
I just found it tedious, and unrealistic.
