Just been haveing a look at the prices for the odeon in the trafford centre, It's 5.50 for a student ticket and 7 for a adult - for that much you can buy like 3 pirate copies of the latest films and keep em (for as long as they last)
bloody rip-off-ers!!!

Shhhhhh, dont mantion pirate copies infront of 3ight8 :-) I think cinemas are a rip off and then the sweets!! I take my own
I agree. We go on Wednesdays when it's buy one get one free with Orange but it's still quite expensive.
i want to see indiana jone and sex and the city this month but i think i'll be even skinter if i go to both!
Yep, it's gone up loads! I usually go on cheap night Tuesdays (at Cineworld) or on Orange Wednesdays (BOGOF). My boyfriend nearly died when we went to the Odeon in Bath- it was about 8.50 each!
Booked my tickets for SATC last week, fluffy! It opens on a Wednesday so I could have got Orange Wednesday tickets, but I'm not chancing not being able to get any at all. :)
Think the cinema is totally out of reach for me now! I used to love watching films, but at most 6 a ticket here, I don't bother. And I always go in with bags of sweets and bottles of pop stuffed in my bag and up my jumper. I once took my own microwaved popcorn. My friend couldn't stop laughing at me!

I couldn't imagine taking a family out to the flicks. It's a rip!
we're going sat night, and having a big gilrie night out with cocktails etc etc, its going to be mental!
And by the time you have brought your popcorn, sweets and drinks, you've spent nearly 15.

That's why I refuse to go!!!
I started a community cinema all tickets 4.50 - tea/coffee is 20p, biscuits are free and ice cream is 75p a tub - 'Definitely, Maybe' is next months film anyone coming?
7 dvd's for a tenner or a night at the pics having rows with chavs who keep talking.....
Hi, Hellyon! Great idea, but just a quick word of warning: 'Definitely, Maybe' is a beyond awful and I paid 7.50 to see it! :(
Hi Whiskey - shame about Definitely Maybe - the people that do the cinema select a season of films and on paper that looked quite good, x
its such a rip off we go some time but most off the time we wait till its out on dvd
