i have a sky plus box and every time i try to record 2 progs at the same time i get a message flash up stating they clash and have to deselect 1, am i wrong in thinking that i should be able to record 2 progs with this machine.

you can but only if you have a quad LNB (the bit on the end of the pole on the dish)

Yes you can - but you can't watch a third channel at the same time. You can watch a recording though.

that usually happens if you are watching another programme while trying to record the other 2, if that makes sense.
