Hi Guys, Does anyone know what FAB stands for on the Thunderbirds? Cheers,

I was told it doesn't stand for anything, just another way of saying fab.

Gerry Anderson spoke at a "Cult Movie & TV Theme Bar" in Leeds and someone asked him this - he said exactly the same thing.

I've only just realised, the bar is aptly named "Fab Cafe"

FAB does not actually stand for anything.When Thunderbirds was created, in the 60s, fab was short for fabulous & it was used to mean message received.

I asked Sylvia Anderson this once at a signing session, and she said it only stood for "fabulous" too. They confused all of us because Captain Scarlet used to say S.I.G., which stood for "Spectrum is Green". Ah, great days...
