Wikipedia refers to white, red, orange, green and blue cats' eyes as being in regular use in the UK:

It's debatable as to whether the regular 'orange' cats' eyes are a different colour to the solar-powered 'amber' ones. (To me, one is definitely more 'yellowy' than the other, but I can't remember which way round it is!).

Similarly (even though they're not mentioned on Wikipedia) I've come across solar-powered 'white' cats' eyes which are more of a 'steel blue' to my eyes.

It's also interesting to note that Wikipedia says that the use of solar-powered cats' eyes has been suspended. There seem to be plenty of them (or at least some form of 'powered' cats' eyes) in use here in East Anglia (and in Kent).

The first upgrade to solar studs on a UK road (A449) was in 1999.

The January 2007 statement from the Highways Agency was that "no more LED cat's eyes will be installed until the effect on people with epilepsy had been fully evaluated". Anyone know the status of this evaluation?
One occasionaliy sees a short burst of the blue ones where the police have their motorway observation points. So, yes, there are 5 colours.
First time I saw blue ones was in Miami. They have very little street lighting out there (certainly nothing like to the extent we have in the UK) and when I was driving round with my mate who lives out in Coral Gables, I kept seeing these blue studs in the middle of the lane. Couldn't work out why they were there. He said 'cos there is naff all street lighting, they are for use at night by the Fire Dept. They show where the fire hydrants are!
