Did I hear right......Did Cliff say he thought it was 'rude' when people used his Barbados home they loaded the toilet-roll incorrectly?

What the correct etiquette for loading a toilet roll?

To have the paper fall over the top rather than from behind and to fold a neat little point on the end after each use ;o)

That last bit is what we used to do when I worked as a chambermaid many years ago.
This reminds me of the film 'Talk Radio' - when the voices are talking about the main character's subjects for his radio show - one was to spend the entire iartime debaint which was the correct way to hang a toilet roll.

I think it is which ever way you prfer it - although in the days of inadequate heating and ventilation, there was an argument for the 'over' method, because the 'under' method laft some paper against the tiled walls, where it would get wet with condensation.

I can't believe I am having this conversation!!!!
who is to say which way it should go?? like only having mint sauce with lamb, never, it goes with anything
~wingnut~ is quiet correct paper over the top, otherwise your diamond rings scratch the wall tiles.
Hardlhy 'rude' though to load it incorrectly. Each to his own.
Ooh, live with me wingnut and you'll soon be out!

I don't care about elswehere but in my house it has got to be paper against the wall - it just looks so untidy the other way!!
Cliff didn't say it was rude to do so he said that it annoys him. I also get annoyed when people do that but I also annoy my mothers partner when round their house as he likes the paper to fall behind and I turn it round the other way. he he.

Does this mean I can't recycle my carefully torn newspapers on the nail..........awwwwwwww pooo ;-))

No wonder Cliff is single!!! ****
There is actually a very good reason - if the paper is coming down from the back, when you pull it loads more comes off the roll, but if it comes from on top, even if you give it a good yank you only get a few sheets. It is to stop people pulling off too much or leaving it hanging down to the floor. Try it! You know it makes sense.
