In memory of my father.....
I know it's a private thing,but I just had to share my thoughts with the nice people on AB.A year ago today my father passed away in his sleep.He was really weak and uncomfortable, and in pain with the prostate cancer that had spread throughout his skeletal bones.He could move a bit,but it hurt him so much when he moved.
My mother told me that she was right beside him as he passed away in his sleep.He was 79 when he died.He even had difficulties in taking painkillers to relieve his pain a bit.
My mother and I were heartbroken when he died.At least he's not in any pain anymore.
We all miss him terribly,and before he was diagnosed with cancer,he was such a wonderful dad.Really caring and quite a happy person in his own way.My mum and dad loved each other dearly,despite having their little quarrels occasionally.
So,in memory of my wonderful dad,I will post links to some of his favourite songs and tunes.
Then I will post some that remember me of him.

that's very touching, imhotep. sorry to hear about your father. my dad died when I was 5, so you must treasure your happy memories.

Understandably this's a sad time for you and your mum, Imhotep. The legacy he's left you with, is to carry on being the person that he brought you up to be. I'm sure you've learnt much from him, and those treasured memories'll be with you forever. x

We certainly will treasure those very fond memories.My mum has loads of family photos in albums.
We were all at my brothers house earlier to have an evening meal,and we whiled away the evening reminiscing. and looking at all the wonderful photos of our early days.Oh,what happy days we had then.

I too just passed the one year anniversary of losing a parent. I remember when you posted of his passing and I desperately tried to post to you , but had trouble with the computer. I gets easier, but no better huh?
