My SKY digital box has been coming up with the following message for the past 2 days 'NO SATELLITE SIGNAL IS BEING RECIEVED'. I am summising that this will be a problem with the LNB. Can anybody shed any light on how to fix or if indeen it is the LNB. I have tried the usual thing of turning it off, unplugging it and waiting for 5 minutes, but this hasn't solved the problem. Any help would be appreciated.
Hi, not sure what LNB stands for, but the quickest way to check what the problem is, is to phone SKY's customer services line and tell them about the message. They can check things their end and help you work out what needs doing.
If we get this message it's usually due to weather conditions. Heavy rain, black skies etc, which we've had a lot of lately. I switch to terrestrial until the weather system passes.
sky will only tell you to unplug it all, remove your viewing card, wipe it, wait for 30 seconds and then boot it all back up again. try doing that, it should work..... for a while!
And for that privilege they will chage you something like 10p/min. Grrrr - I hate Sky and their premium rate numbers. Used to be 0870 then when that got clamped down they change to the even more expensive 0844. Even their sales lines are 0844. Greedy b's
