I don't watch Eastenders any more as I was fed up of all the characters shouting at each other all the time. I put it on a few weeks back to see if it had changed....no such luck, all the characters were arguing and shouting at each other so I have not watched it since! There was a time some years ago on EE that characters would need to have an argument with somone and would just chuck their apron or cash box at another actor and say 'you look after the cafe/market stall/shop for me I need to see this person' and just leave someone who has never worked in that particular shop in charge!! I am sure that all business owners do this on a regular basis with all their friends, hand over the takings and ask them to run it while they go off and have a row!! Very true to life!
Corrie can be as bad as well, but I much prefer it for the comedy element. Not Dev as the blender moment was pathectic and not funny at all, but other characters such as Blanche, who come out with some real gems.
In Corrie, as well as taking flights or holidays at the drop of a hat, they also sell business without any due dilligence or any legal entity appearing to get involved. It seems that Dev has simply bought the kebab shop business as you would a new kettle (or blender) without needing to worry about any legals at all!
