Day One Nearly Over

Well it is if you go to bed early like me :)
I've just been curled up in the warm with copious mugs of tea watching films.
Watched Memoirs of a Geisha earlier and it was sooo good.
How has everyone spent their New Years Day?

afternoon was spent in kitchen and lounge... cooking (now there's a surprise hehe) and more cuddles...
evening was spent watching tv - Christmas Lectures and Top Gear... now probably back to bed for more cuddles with my girls...
In other words, a totally chilled out, relaxing day.. the most strenuous activity was putting the food waste and green recycling bins outside... lol

The film was lovely, not read the book but may have a look out for it. I love those kind of films, The Last Samurai, House of Flying Daggers etc... even love some of the Studio Gibli animations.
To bed for me soon too, Heathcliffe is hinting he wants to go cuddle up. Was watching a film but a bit headachey so giving it up for the night I think.
Night night all :) xxx

Wee Al.... there is nothing quite the same as the special cuddle you can get from a beloved cat.... my eldest (BigThug) has the silkiest fur coat you can imagine and she adores snuggling up next to me... the WeeThug has a brilliant sense of timing and often comes in just as BigThug is off outside for the necessaries... so I get two cuddles for the price of none..hehe..
Me and my mum have had a great day today. It's been very peaceful in our neighbourhood. My eldest brother came over to see us a little earlier. He's gone now.So I can relax in front of my PC and have a litle chat to all of you nice people.
The only TV I have watched today is the repeat run of Dr Who, a bit of Shrek 2,and that's about it.Ooh,I did record Peter and the Wolf on Channel 4.We can watch that when there is nothing else on.I just love these short animated films.
Back to blooming work tomorrow though.Pah,it would have been nice had everyone had an extra day off, just to make it a nice long weekend.Mmmmm......
