Who's your favourite TV Host! Just watching Richard Hammond [One Show] Host on Saturdays Total Wipeout! Made me think of all the" great" TV Hosts! Brucie, Des O Connor, etc! How do the "modern" ones compare with the "oldies"

Not sure if he counts as a 'host', but Clive James is the man for me. If I could write half that well I could die happy.

Far easier to find a list of hosts i can't stand for ten seconds -

I like Phillip Scofield and Ant and Dec but from way back..........hmmmm.......Michael Barrymore was a good laff.

Would agree with you about Clive James Andy, brilliant man and host. I do like Des O'Connor too in a different sort of way. Funnily I agree about all the ones on your list as well ;o). Michael Parkinson became worse with age, but I never really took to him.

I do like Philip Schofield. I suppose he is fairly modern (to an oldie like me!)

Jeff Stelling is brilliant on Soccer Saturday, and has taken to Countdown like a duck to water.

Michael Barrymore was excellent back in the day before it all went so horribly wrong - with adults & children alike he was wonderful.
These days - I like Vernon Kay.

Dermot O'Leary - Yummy! Can't go wrong with a bit of eye candy!

Dermot O'Leary is really good actually. Very level headed and calm.

Can't agree with you about Vernon though Salla, I find him extremelly irritating!!

Salla, I agree with you about Barrymore he was a great entertainer, I watch him a lot on Challenge tv.
