Sad news today, for most of us regardless of our political beliefs, David Camerons son has dies.

But what is the betting, given Noo labours record, that some sicko will take the opportunity to 'bury bad news' or capitalise on this.

I dont think McBottle will. indeed I am sure his understanding is greater than most of us having gone through similar himself, but I'm sure there are a few desperate pinko's that would want to.

I can't help but think that you're stirring the s**t, hoping to get the "Indignant of Tunbridge Wells" Brigade to "bite"?
With what David and his family must be going through I hope nobody responds to your append.

I dont even think it is worth discussion.

We certainly dont need political "points scoring" at a time like this.

Thats my point though VHG.

Will they take the opportunity or not. Rightly or wrongly.

Will Labour be able to sit back and qallow Mr C some space with their history of using bad situations?

I stronlgly hope not, but no matter how painful you find a subject it should always be aired.

And you have responded yourself have you not ?
Will Labour be able to sit back and allow Mr C some space with their history of using bad situations?

There is nothing political about this situation, I am sure everyone will empathise at a personal level. Your Q is monstrously inept, especially your deliberate use of the phrase bury bad news.
You've plucked this from literally nowhere. What an odd question.

I think you should remember that Gordon Brown lost his first child Jenifer 10 days after she was born permaturely.

Come back when you've learnt some respect

Needless thread of the week contender.

Wow...I can't believe you wrote that.
Have some respect for the family instead of trying to debate on it.
When Gordon Brown's daughter Jennifer died, he had sympathy messages from all sides of the political spectrum. No one at a time like this would think of point scoring. It seems as though it is you, hyoungmafbog, who is trying to stir it up.

Many will feel pity for the poor blighter but why was most of the news today on this but so little on the 3 soldiers killed today in Afghanistan? I think we have a warped sense of priorities.

Ditto
Yes I also thought this rov, so far down the items of news,

After all these poor chaps also had families that are now mourning.

Little was said about this when all the politicians in the house had their heads bowed in grief, over this poor child's unfortunate death.
How low can youngmafbog stoop? Three soldiers dead in Afghanistan on the same day as the death of David Cameron's son, no doubt arranged by Gordon Brown to counteract the sympathy vote for Cameron. With the plane crash at Schiphol Airport, the Tories must be kicking themselves for getting their timing all wrong. Quite a good day for burying bad news and a lucky break for PR machines everywhere.
AOG - how can you possibly equate the loss of a child with the deaths of soldiers?

Soldiers sign up on the basis that they will be trained to kill people, and run the risk of being killled - all entirely voluntary on their part.

How does that measure up with an innocent child who has never even been able to speak, let alone walk, talk, and grow up to be a trained killer.

As usual, your need to push your jingoistic viewpoints about soliders and foreigners has to be hung on any thred - however inapropriate such a point may be.

Just for one let's separate a tragedy involving a child from that involving paid soliders killing nd being killed in a country where they have no business.

You've said before that you're a regular viewer of PMQs (as am I). If that's the case you should know that at the beginning of each session, party leaders invariably announce their condolences to families of soldiers who have been killed in the week.
"Many will feel pity for the poor blighter but why was most of the news today on this but so little on the 3 soldiers killed today in Afghanistan?"

Clearly, you have no idea how the news works or why certain things are higher up the agenda than others.

Why do bankers' bonuses and house prices appear on the front pages every day? What about the soldiers then? In fact, what about the lethal cholera epidemic in Zimbabwe? This is a human interest story involving a very, very well-known politician. If you can't understand why that's heavily reported you're incredibly naive.
They could save a lot of grief for these families if the child had been put down soon after birth. Calous but thinking reality.

Words escape me.
