Michael Jackson at the o2

Just watched his appearance at the O2 to announce the concerts, his reception was amazing and I will be getting tickets I will be getting tickets I will be getting tickets!!! If I convince myself I know it will happen! Cannot wait it's like a second chance, it's times like this when you think what it would have been like if Elvis had lived, and travelled over here.

because he didnt get found guilty doesnt mean anything, it was the same court system that found OJ Simpson not guilty
If you get excited about seeing a 50 year old bloke in an dodgy wig with appalling facial surgery (that he wont admit to having) thats your perogitive

I always regret that I never saw Freddie Mercury live, so go ahead Dot and get those tickets. However, be aware that seeing him now at 50 might spoil those precious memories you have. You may well be very disappointed.
I am aware that if Freddie could make a comeback now it probably would not come up to my expectations.
Anyway, I sincerely hope you get those tickets!!!!

I have stated my own take on 'comebacks' on other posts - but that should in no way detract from the obvious pleasure that Dot and others are going to feel when they see MJ in concert.
JimmyCooper's points - although embroidered with unecessary personal vitriol against Dot - raise another point which I have made coment on previously -
can we seperate the art from the artist/
Are Gary Glitter's seminal glam tracks any less appealing and historically contextual because of his odious personal life?
And to take it a step further - should Wagner's work be banned because of his fascist sympathies - as it is in Israel?
It's an interesting issue, but to return to Dot's obvious enthusiasm - have a great time and i am sure the production and music will be as sensational as ever.
