I want to open a small cinema in a commercial property in london.What licences do I need to obtain, how do I go about paying film royalties where do I pay these and how much is it likley to cost per film??

Don't know how you go about it but your best bet would be to look for a trade body on the internet. As per cost of film it usually works as a percentage of the ticket price and this is calculated on a film by film basis. This is reduced the longer a film is out for so in the first week it might be 60% then 40% the second week and so on. I know for Star Wars Episode 1 Geroge Lucas demanded a 95% taken the first week.
