What's the name of this film?

A teenage girl was killed by a huge bell in an old school/church during a storm in some sort of an initiation ceremony. Years later another girl (of similar appearance) manages to reserect her from the dead by repeating the initiation ceremony with the same group of friends. I also remember a scene where there was a hall of mirrors; and that the girl wore an alice band. I think the film must be 30+ years old. I would love to see this film again, it has been haunting me all my life! thanks Helena

I think you are describing Watcher in the woods - the girl actually didn't die but was transferred into another time continuum sort of - it starred Betted Davis as the girls mother - it's from 1980 and I have a copy of it on video somewhere - there are two girls in present day and they hear the girl talking to them and they see her at the fairground in the mirrors you describe - but it's not an alice band - it was a blindfold as the kids 30 years ago were performing some sort of weird black magic initiation and it finishes with the 2 girls from present day having to get the kids from the past to reinact the ceremony and at the end the girl comes back and she hadn't aged - if you check out this link you can see more

Thanks aurelia for answering my question.  I saw this film as a small child; and am delighted now i know it's name.  I can't find it at blockbuster, and I got outbid on EBay.  i think i will put it on my list to santa!
