My hubby went to work at 05.30 this morning came up to kiss me goodbye and went to work, not sure how long after wards but someone or something came into my room was holding me down and kissing me and touching me down below with its fingers ( sorry im so shaken up ) i was trying to open my eyes but i couldnt, i could smell a smell but cant say what sort of smell, it was kissing me hard and really hurting me down below and holding me down, i remember the cat being on my bed and i remember moving my legs in a panic trying to move away and i also remember the cat meowing cos i kicked out with my legs and kicked her, then i managed to open my eyes and nothing was there, but i was left sore and aching down below, i know i wasnt dreaming it, because if i was why would i be sore down below, i feel like im going mad and dont know what to do, shall i tell my husband what happened, ive just told my daughter and she thinks we should get the paranormal team back in or at least a priest to get rid of the presence, someone please help me. Thank you

I couldn't open my eyes or move but I could hear the traffic outside my house and someone breathing.
I can remember what causes it but it's something to do with with partly waking so you're semi conscious but your body is still in a deep sleep and that's why it seems so real....and scary!!!
But if you think it's spirits then I presume any explanations are not going to change your mind.

I've had a few episodes of sleep paralysis over the years - it really is horrible and frightening whilst it's happening and does leave you very shaken up afterwards.
Forget all these stories about incubi (incubusses?!!) and entities and suchlike - they will just put the fear of God into you. It doesn't just happen at times of stress - the last time it happened to me (and it was quite sexual) was only a few months ago - at a time when I'm perfectly happy & pretty stress-free in my life.
Please don't worry excessively, it's a horrible nightmarish sensation that seems so real, but it really isn't.
