Christmas in morning then at 3pm it officially becomes MY BIRTHDAY and I get to open cards and presents whilst everyone else pays me all the attention . It has always been that way apart from one year when I tried a birthday in June but I hated it so went back to Christmas Day. I dont have birthday cake and really dont miss it but I do have separate Christmas and Birthday presents no joint presents allowed.
Excellent !
More or less what my Mum has. She's never had 'joint' presents, either.
Her 21st birthday cake was the only cake decorated for her birthday that she has ever had.
My neice also has a Christmas birthday and for a couple of years her parents tried the 'half-birthday' on June 25th. It meant that she could have a party where her school-friends were sure to attend.........but it fizzled out.
And trying to find cards with 'Happy Birthdayn ow you're 6 and a half', was a bu@@er :o)
