Is it me or is FaceBook a waste of time?/

I have/had been on it for about 10 months and apart from using the application "Farm Town" I didn't get much pleasure from it.
I got fed up with having to read "texting" and the obligatory F words and even the C word. No humour, no jokes, no originality. I may be getting old but I cannot believe how shallow some people are to post things like , " am going for a few drinks".and so on!

So i deactivated my account this morning. Does anybody else feel the same. Or is FaceBook better off without me???

For me, personally I think it's a waste of time. So much so that I've closed my account.

i joined Facebook and am really bored with it for the same reasons, friends broadcasting pictures and descriptions of nights out etc.
I think Facebook is for the younger generation and those with plenty of time on their hands, I simply am too busy to fart around with keeping up with the trash on it.
I am on farmville but got bored with that too as it doesn't 'do' anything. I am 39 years old but my same age wife loves it, though she is younger minded than I am.
I am the 'grumpy old git' in the household.....

I've been in contact with old school friends and people who lived in the area I grew up in. It's a good feeling when they have happy memories about you.
