I like his sort of scruffy!
Laid back is what he is - just intensely casual. My sort of man.
Carabint - ermmmmmm Croatian is on thing, but there's nowt wrong with the Baggies!

If he wants to appear laid back, why wear an open-necked white shirt, which
looked as though it needed an iron and had seen better days
A smart polo shirt would surely be better !
Lets see what tonight brings!
Perhaps he is fond of his old shirt. Perhaps he doesn't do 'smart'. I think he is a good presenter and that is what counts. And I like his new look stubble/beard as well. Leave him alone. ;o). Better a guy like Adrian who doesn't give a jot about his looks and does his own thing than a dedicated follower of fashion ;o)
Just had a thought. Top Gear, one of the best TV programmes - Clarkson, May and Hammond - are they smart? Why pick on Adrian Chiles.

Oh and he could do with losing a few pounds - not to mention the beard thing
Adrian Chiles? is that the guy who looks like the bushranger Ray Mears, and was Benny Hill his grandad? He's really scruffy, the other scruffy one I can't remember his name used to be the main presenter in a DIY emergency programme and he also hosted a Lotto quiz programme at one time. He always looks as if he has just got out of bed. I know its the fashion but not many can get away with it at least those two can't.
well 'Grandad'.... the 'Gran' has spoken!!! you related?? x
He`s let himself go since Christine gave him the elbow for Frank Lampard
Ah bless him!! I don't think he give's a jot what others think of him (looks or clothes-wise) That is why I like him so much!
Ok curlyperm, gran or not there's nothing like looking presentable, Adrian is fat and not particularly good-looking, he ought to make the best of what he has not make himself look worst. Nick Knowles (that's his name) on DIY SOS looks as if he needs a good wash, or perhaps he sleeps on the job too.
Oh no! I also think Nick Knowles is lovely!!
I honestly do like fellas that err on the side of scruffy, especially if they have stubble. However, they do have to be clean.

And I am of granny age (very much so) even if I'm not a granny!!

Yes Adrian is somewhat bulky - but does it matter! He doesn't care and obviously neither does his very beautiful girlfriend!

Hi curly,gran, et al.Sorry I could,nt reply last night,probs with PC.
Lottie <I dont think he gives a jot what others think of him>
I think that proves my point,as has been said it does,nt take too much to look tidy.
Re Nick Knowles,a good presenter, not always tidy, but he,s on TV so much,he probably hardly has time to change.
Daftgrandad. I suppose what our definition of tidy is. To me Adrian is just casual and ordinary. Compared with loads of people on the television he is tidy. Cleanliness matters to me but dress/hair doesn't particularly. He is presentable enough as far as I am concerned and he does his job well - which is what matters.

So why should it matter to him what people think of the way that he dresses. He is not offensive in any way.
Don't knock Adrian Chiles!
a) He's a fellow Baggies fan like me and
b) He's from near Stourbridge...Like me!

That awful accent Christine Beaky speaks with is more offensive..Horrible..Can't watch it!
Boing Boing!
I must admit to having a very soft spot for Adrian Chiles. He's not good looking and he is overweight, but there is something very appealing about him to me. He's a 'bloke' and unpretentious and straightforward - someone I would love to meet in real life.
I know where he sits at West Brom matches if you want a ticket ;-)
Last saw him at Wolves away (always a tense affair...They don't like the Baggies)
He was wearing a baseball cap and shades and was with Frank Skinner...
I tapped him on the shoulder and told him he'd need a better disguise than that not to be spotted by the hungry Wolves fans outside!
He's a good bloke...Leave him alone.
