On Thin Ice

I watched On Thin Ice, a series following three guys who tried to get to the south pole in a race, and found it on my recordings today, but that was only one episode and I can't find the rest. I got to the point where they have reached the halfway point and the doctor has assessed James and said there was a 50/50 chance of him carrying on. What happened next?! Did he carry on? And how did they get on in the race?
