2001 ish channel 4 teens program

Hi i think this program was on channel 4 around 2001, it was your basic teen drama thing, but i can only remember one series, It was a bit of a holyoaks thing only less clean cut, based around a group of friends.
I cant remember much about it, apart from a girl with dred locks, and piercings, and i think based somewhere down south, it was also on around 6 in the afternoon.

Any help would be great
