There is something I don't understand about this storyline.
I get that the Muslim faith does not allow homosexuality.But how does the fact that Syed is gay translate to the destruction of his family and wife.That his family will now be viewed as tainted.And similarly that his wife will be shamed and as she said her father's unpaid servant for life.
I ask this out of genuine curiosity.
