 Does anyone know what happened to the two children who played Hayley Mill's brother and sister in the 1961 film "whistle down the wind. The boys real name was Alan Barnes. Thats all I know.

According to IMDb, Alan Barnes made one more film (in 63). Diane Holgate didn't make another film, but (as of October 2003) lives in Northwich, near Manchester. She has 2 daughters and works in a bank.

I put the info on the imdb about Diane Holgate,and also amended Alan Barnes entry.I have long been a fan of the film,and thought Diane was great,so in 2003 i tried to find out what had happened to her.To cut a long story short i traced her in Oct 03,and rang her,and we chatted for over an hour.She is really proud of the film,and is pleased that people remember her for it.I met her in March 04with another friend of mine,and again in July when we spent a weekend in Lancashire visiting the locations.I also met her father who has a scrapbook,all about the filming.We have become good friends,and i saw her again in October,and she is coming to visit me in the spring.She is a lovely lady,very down to earth,and she didn't make another film as the opportunity never arose again.She told me that she hadn't seen Alan Barnes for a while,but believes he is still in Lancashire,where he runs a joinery business.Hope this is of some help to you.
