Gail would be in a local prison and share with another remand prisoner. Tracey would not be in a total prison as she is inside for murder. How stupid this story line is.

i flicked on to corrie tonight and seen these two in prison, i have missed about 8 months so was wondering why they are in prison? Also over the past month when i have caught an episode, hailie (sp?) hasn't been there and then tonight she was, has she been away?

What is Tracy hoping for? She's in for life so even oif she helped the police in nailing Gail I would have thought the maximum she would get would be 5 years off her sentence. She certainly wouldn't get out soon. It's daft.

The other thing about Corrie is the Steve and Becky adoption storyline, they both have criminal records, his for manslaughter if I remember rightly, would they really be eligible to adopt? I have a horrible feeling that this is going to be a way of bringing some awful 'problem'child into it. I watch Emmerdale too and it seems to me that they just swap scripts with Corrie, if somebody in one is gay somebody in the other will be too. So many strylines are the same. Lazy writing.

I agree buffer, I think that Steve and Becky would have fallen at the first hurdle realistically. I know it is only soap but it irritates me when scriptwriters pen implausible and 'trendy' storylines. It spoils Corrie for me.

Yes, yogasun, implausible is the word. People suddenly going on holiday and leaving a business,especially a pub. My parents were licensees and they never had holidays because it was too difficult to find someone to run the pub and yet Liz in Corrie and Diane in E/dale are always popping off. Also, when people say ' I'm going to start a new life in Australia' do they know how hard it is to do that and how long it takes? You can't just decide to go! Grrrr! Mind you I still watch them!
