Very nernerner, we had the exact same conversation at 6.30!
The original Phoebe was Dervla Kirwen then Elizabeth Carling took over and his 1990s wife was Michelle Holmes then Emma Amos.
I suppose in a long running series, they get other offers, it must have clashed with Ballkissangel for Dervla Kirwin for example.

Surely it wasn't mid series? Between series, maybe. Mid would have been very weird...
