I commented on his eyes whilst watching the programme, but his speech was not the same either, he seemed to be struggling with the northern accent! Something not right.
Bless him. He didn't looked well and very puffy faced too. He looks much older than his 69 years. He has suffered from ill health for years. Bill Tarney - a really lovely bloke, I have always admired him.
he is a lovely guy, I met him at Granada a few years ago, and as always, I enjoyed the dichotmony between the physical manifestation of his character, and the Oxbridge accent with which Bill speaks off screen. A lovely man - i wish him well in his retirement.
Mrs M and I both remarked on how ill he looked as his face was very red and puffy. It's a great shame as he has been such a good character on Corrie. He will be missed when he leaves The Street. Let's hope he has a long and happy retirement.
I noticed that last night, I said to OH 'Is it me or has Jack (Bill) got big bags under his eyes'? It was awful. Poor chap, I hope he enjoys a happy retirement.
I agree, he didn't look well but according to forthcoming events in Corrie with this tram crash he is going to be killed off, it is a shame that they can't let him exit the series with dignity, let him die in his beloved Blackpool.
oscarina, Bill Tarmey asked to be killed off.
He lives in Tenerife, has done for some years, and I suppose he know longer wants the temptation to keep returning as Jack.
He wanted to retire when Vera was killed off, but was talked out of it.
