Is there a weatherproof joiner for joining coaxial cables outdoors? I did it with a normal joiner and taped it up but the joint became damp and rusty resulting in low or no signal. I dont want to pay a call out fee to instal a new cable if avoidable!

You can get DENSO tape from B & Q. But be warned its not nice to work with so need to wear disposable gloves
Couldn't you use an outdoor waterproof electrical junction box?

Push both cables through the two rubber sealed inlets of the junction box.

Strip back the copper braiding on the two cables fairly long and twist them together and connect the two inner wire via the normal connectors in the junction box.
