Oddball and Kellys Heroes
4 Answers
I know " Kellys Heroes " is a comedy ( based on an urban legend ) . Every time I watch it though , the character of Oddball ( Donald Sutherland ) grates . He is clearly a Hippie and as such is about 25 years too late for WW2! I know the film was made in the sixties but even so ...! Is this the worst anachronism in a film?

I suggest you read a short web biograph of Eden Ahbez. He was the composer of "Nature Boy" which was a big hit for Nat King Cole in the 1940's. Eden had hair down to his shoulders and wore loose fitting shirts and trousers. He was a hippy if ever there was one.
