For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.it might seem like he's accepting film offers all over the place but for most of his career he's consistently made around 2 or 3 films a year. (Granted, he did 3 motion pictures and 1 cartoon in 2004).
If you're suggesting he'll appear in anything no matter how lame don't forget his earlier repertoire includes The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle, Heat, Frankenstein, Mad Dog and Glory, Cape Fear, Backdraft, We're No Angels, and The Untouchables...
Don't get me wrong - I think he's an excellent actor (even in all the films I've listed - even Rocky & Bullwinkle) and many people will probably have enjoyed the same films I think are a load of pants, but being a good actor doesn't mean the film's gonna be any good.
What's wrong with the Score? Great movie!!!!!
Think of Christopher Walken...very stereotyped as 'evil weird guy'. De Niro did well to avoid the stereotype of 'americanitalian gun totting criminal'. Also, I think the italians had an issue with him getting some award, because they thought he fuelled this stereotype!!! And he failed to turn up at the award "due to a break down in the...communications".
ARE YOU TALKING TO ME?????
ps. maybe the best actor that ever was in our lifetime...
