Can't confirm the episode number, but the series ran for ten years, and by the last series, the cast were on $1million per episode each, so they made enough to retire on, should they so wish.

Hi there, i am an avid fan of friends and have every single epsiode on ten. I can tell you that there were approx 24 episodes per season and there were 10 seasons, excluding the last one where there was only 18 episodes, therefore there were approx 224 episodes, some of them being double episodes. Hope this helps
