Scottish?
There are at least three different types of Scottish Sterling + Norn Irn + English... all legal tender
I asked this question(before) about last weeks Road Trip,and looking at the IPlayer,and this weeks trip I think they are using Scottish notes(for whatever reason).
They are only worth 99p......
on the pound that is
I had a look at the programme this week and they don't look like any notes currently in circulation, they have three coloured stripes on the notes. I suspect that it's "BBC money" rather than the experts carting around shedloads of real money.
Mmm boxtops,
Methinks you may be right,
I have quite a good video recorder with non fuzzy pause.
Even with that I don't recognise the notes,not even as Euro notes.
Mark Stacey(I think) did use an English fiver the other day,but as far as the others go they must be BBC Toytown money,or maybe they come from the Bank of Trumpton! LOL
You know the bank::~
Hugh,Pugh,Barney McGrew,Cuthbert,Dibble and Grub.
I always thought it was Pugh Pugh (two brothers)....
My OH and I have commented on this since the start of the series. It is Scottish money they are using , it's very colourful, like Euros. If the programme is made by BBC Scotland , that would explain it! I am always surprised by the notes when I'm in Scotland - which is frequently!
