Missed something...why is Charlie working in a psychiatric hospital ?...was he made redundant or something? ..missed a few episodes in recent months...obviously....

charlie found out that ruth's husband was gay, she couldn't risk the rest of the staff in casualty finding out so she had charlie transferred while nick jordan was away and she was in charge.
