On quiz shows, when you answer questions in a set amount of time, is the time it takes to answer so many questions measured? Else it's not fair if someone get lots of longwinded questions and someone else gets short one? BUT on some quizzes i do notice that they talk quicker as the time is nearly up so would this affect it much?

Are you thinking of Mastermind - they do like to get in 17 to 18 questions and yes, there is some variation. Obviously thinking time strips away the opportunity to ask that extra question.......
