Is it my imagination or is David beginning to have second thoughts about the move oop north ? He is doing an awful lot of sighing these last couple of weeks. But what will happen to Pet Love if they don't make the move ?

I think the old bag should fall down the stairs and spare us all any more heartache myself !

Well Hailey surprised me.

Oh and how are Kenton and Joleine going to afford the business class tickets to Australia now?
The Archer family is going into meltdown. They'll all gang up on David & Jill. Goody goody Shula will be on a guilt trip over telling lies to the police. Kenton will end up being skint, as he's spent the money from the farm before he's got it. Ditto with Elizabeth. Flaky Helen will lose everything when she sells the shop....Haley's well out of it:-)
Aww caught the omnibus today. David made me cry.
I was pretty moist as well, Prudie.
Tears here too, it was very emotional acting, especially when David recognized his dads handwriting on the toy farm (gulp!).
So remind me please - do David & Ruth have a controlling interest in Brookfield? Just them alone can stop the sale?
Yes, they own it.

It was in his father's will, I believe, that if it was sold then other members of the family would receive a proportion of the proceeds.

Mikey can probably give more detail.
Yes that makes sense Hopkirk, thank you.
Ruth sounds a touch unhappy about it.
Just a touch LOL. Kenton might be as well. Really enjoying it at the moment.

Yes...that is right. The father left it to David, with the proviso that if the farm was sold, a proportion would go to Shula, Kenton and Elizabeth.

He did this because David was the one who put all the effort into the day-to-day running of the farm and he therefore deserved the lions share. Phil had a horror of seeing the farm go to rack and ruin and thought David was the best guarantee that it would remain intact and a going concern.

Last night was interesting, when Shula and Elizabeth were told that the farm
was not now going to be sold ( sorry if I am spoiling anybodies Sunday morning listening here ! ) To be honest, it was a bit of a damp squib, as they didn't seem to mind and actually sounded relieved !

Kenton, of course, will be gutted but nobody much will really cares. He is very much the black sheep of the family and didn't really feature very much in the program until some time ago. If he b******d off to the Antipodes sometime soon, on a permanent basis, nobody will shed a tear !

The issue of the farm for Ruth is very different. She now blames Jill, who in the past has been closely related to Mother Teresa, in the fact that she can do nothing wrong whatsoever ! Which is a terribly shame, as she is my favourite character in Ambridge. I wish she would bake me a cake.

On a side note, someone told me the other day that Ambridge doesn't really exist and it was all done in a studio in Brum ! What nonsense ! I distinctly heard a cow go moo last week, and how the ruddy heck could you get a cow into a studio ?
I feel like writing to the DG urging him to ignore the moaners and keep The Archers dramatic.

My favourite character is Brian, I think he's great.
Question Author
Hopkirk...Brian was even greater years ago, when nothing in a skirt in Ambridge was safe ! He even tried it on with his cleaner !
Thanks Mikey, I did know all that but I had forgotten but you've brought it all back:-).
Yes, love Brian, his reaction to his wife inviting his sister-in-law to stay for as long as she wants was and is hilarious. I think Jennifer is making him pay for past 'indiscretions' in so many ways. Love it.
Question Author
Do you think we could petition the Producer to allow Hayley and Roy to get back together again ?
I was kind of hoping Roy and Elizabeth would get back together. Elizabeth will have to be given a mate some time.
What happened to Elizabeth's Maths tutor, that sounded promising but it was a while back.
Tonight apparently Peggy changes her will, hopefully Helen will be first loser, that'll give Rob something to think about.
Brian reminds me of Sqad. Loving the story lines at the moment.
Apparently Brian (or at least the actor) used to be a regular on Noel's House Party.
Sorry, I was wrong.

Here is the entry for on Wiki that I confused it with:

"He may be better known to television audiences for his appearances in the mid-1990s as the score-keeper on Noel Edmonds' BBC One quiz show Telly Addicts."

Also he is married to the actress who plays Shula.
