Is it my imagination or is David beginning to have second thoughts about the move oop north ? He is doing an awful lot of sighing these last couple of weeks. But what will happen to Pet Love if they don't make the move ?
I think the old bag should fall down the stairs and spare us all any more heartache myself !
I am convinced the sale will fall through...... the *** will really hit the fan then as everyone has made big holes in their 'supposed' payout already. The only way is for 'Pet Love' to turn up her toes or move to Brookfield or I guess she could move in with 'Puss Cat'. The Archers had changed so much in the last 3 months and I am not sure it is for the better. Although the Rob Titchiner (Mr Wriggly) storyline is a belter - Saint or Devil????
I think we all guessed some time ago that the sale won't go ahead, Mikey. I have a theory ............
"Pet" has already said that she's not fussed. Concern for her seems to have died down.
The road goes ahead.
David sells all the ground on the wrong side of the road to Braaaan Aldridge.
He pays off the mutinous siblings.
Turns the rest of Brookfield back into an idyllic family farm (complete with homemade milking bale)
Pip goes off in a huff, to work with bigger tractors.
As long as we don't have to suffer Kenton and Jolene snogging in the shower (or indeed anywhere else) ...
But seriously though folks, is it just me (loud chorus of "it's just you dave") or have we now got a village consisting entirely of "strong but seriously annoying" women and "weak, deceitful and annoying" men?
Don't think it's your imagination, Mikey. Jill is spending a lot of time in the attic with mementos. It will cause chaos and family schism if they don't move - which leads to good story lines from the programme's p.o.v..
Dave, I think there are still plenty of decent blokes in Ambridge.
I meant Jill, not Heather, UKSWF, I was in a hurry and not clear, sorry. I was referring to her finding all the old mementos and perhaps changing David's mind with the history. You are right, 'Pet Love' is Ruth's mum and if she falls downstairs and breaks her neck - well then.............
Is UKSWF one of the scriptwriters? I caught a few minutes today (about David's toy farm) - unusual, because I normally have to wait until Sunday. The move is not going to happen - could David and Ruth split up over it? If she stays I think Pip will flounce off. It's becoming rather hard work, I liked it as it was when the big question was if Jack's dog had mated with someone's prize Red-setter.
Well, it's as we all suspected (good bits of acting by David and Jill, b.t.w.). The fall-out is going to be huge. Even Fallon's quaint little business start-up is hit. The sub-plot of Ed Grundy is rather touching and building him as a character isn't it.
