I've started a new thread, hope that's ok.
Just wanted to shout at Ruth tonight, she really is getting so irritating. Does she expect them to discuss every detail of everything with her!

A soap??? How dare you call The Archers a SOAP!! It's an everyday story of countryfolk, with an input from DEFRA, or whoever they are, of helpful advice for the farmers, social-mount aineering advice from Linda and a moral story about avoiding dodgy men like RT, though Helen's not a listener.

I don't think the DNA test were faked, or that the divorce was phoney.
If you give somebody like Titchener enough rope, they will eventually hang themselves. He will go too far one day, probably around Xmas, and someone important will see through him. My guess is Pat, or perhaps Peggy.
I also think that Adam will land one right on his nose, given half a chance, and we must all be looking forward to that !

Interesting, isn't it? At first everyone in the family distrusted/disliked Rob (my son-in-law is called Rob, by the way, I hesitated before saying his name today!) except for Helen, who loved him. Now (very nearly) everyone really likes him - except Helen, who is trying to stay in love with him by telling herself she's wrong about things and he's right.
I still wonder about the paternity test, but can't imagine how it could have been faked, the divorce couldn't have been.
There is the postulated visit by his parents - Helen answered the phone, remember. Perhaps if that is Christmas-time-ish it may provoke a crisis!

Rob thoroughly disapproves of Adams gayness. He is also a nasty spiteful person, who will do anything to discredit anyone who isn't on his wave length, but most of all, he is jealous of his wife's close relationship with Adam and Ian, and sees it as a threat to his own ability to confuse and bully her.
