Thought we needed a new thread
I'll try not to spoil it too much but I cannot see a happy ending for Helen
Also Rex (or Toby) 's infatuation is getting a little tedious
You can also add to the list rape, arson, horse slashing, armed robbery and ferret bashing.
The difference now is that the Rob story has been building up slowly over a long time, 3 years from him appearing to getting stabbed, and also the intensity of some episodes where we have heard very little apart from Ron and Helen or Pat wailing.
Jack's dementia took 8 years to play out, but we only got little snippets of him from time to time.
So is Kirsty. That Helpline she gave H is crucial evidence towards shedding some light on what was going on in her marriage. I know you all know that but just saying.
Why has no-one put the barrister onto Jess, the ex-wife? I can't see why Helen, except it's Helen, is so reluctant to give her barrister any ammunition. Could a computer expert not go through the shop's computer and find that it was frequently altered twice after she place orders, once by him and again by him to "correct" her mis-ordering? Do they never watch the TV cops shows???
I'm now at the point I want to slap Helen, one minute she's wailing about her situation and how can this be and on the other she doesn't say a single thing to help herself. It's really irritating.
I still think Dr Lock will have a say in this. I remember him recognizing Rob some months ago and Rob was very sheepish.
BTW, I was right about Rob 's near demise, (melv said smugly) :-)
You can go off people, melv! Actually, it turns out that the poor chap playing Rob didn't know himself and had been scanning the scripts for the words 'Rob dies'. Once he knew he (Rob) had survived he (actor) could afford a family holiday! (Sat.Tel. Travel section)
Agreed, Ladybirder. Well, at least that's the birth over. Helen might want the child called Anthony of course..... But I don't dislike Gideon, it has quite a ring to it for the 'spawn of Satan'!
Will Helen reject the baby? After all, the circumstances of its - ah - creation were not to her liking, and now she's had a bad time with the birth. All that can leave a bad feeling about Rob (I know that she has a bad feeling about him anyway) but she might not want to be reminded of her husband every time that she looks at the baby.
Malcopool: Simon Parker, formerly a reporter on the Felpersham Evening Post. Phil called him 'that inky blighter.' He dumped Shoelace on May Day in 1978, but by then he had taken her V card in a haystack.
When a birth takes place while the mother is in prison, who is responsible for the registration of a birth? Can RT get away with calling him Gideon against Helen's wishes, or even vice versa for a name she choses?
