Quite probably Mikey. And if you don't eat your cheese sandwiches that might be sooner than later;-)
the respective barristers and solicitors would have ensured that they were kept apart.

LB....I could survive on my fat reserves, for many weeks to come I reckon !
Some ABers have wondered if the jury scene was an accurate representation of how jurors behave in the jury room. I suppose that it all depends on the case that's being tried. My wife was on a jury some years ago at the local Crown Court. "Her" jury was involved in two cases, both of burglary. She says that the jurors on her cases were nowhere near as excitable as in the Helen case. Everyone discussed the evidence calmly, although there was some disagreement along the way, and a verdict was eventually given in a businesslike manner. She was, however, left with the feeling that 18-year-olds are not mature enough for jury service. The two young people who were on her jury were ditherers, who were nervous of making a decision that was based on the evidence.

I almost felt sorry for Rob just now.....NOT !
I was willing Pat not to let him see the baby. Henry will be in trouble when he calls him Jack!
If there were eleven on the Jury, I doubt it was a 9-1 verdict.
I thought it was 10:1????
TCL I agree with your earlier comment about the quick change from only 6 voting to acquit Helen to suddenly shooting up to10 with next to no discussion.
I did jury service once. At the start of the deliberations one lady announced he was guilty because he looked like a crook.
To answer an earlier question...Usha has owned Blossom Hill Cottage for around 20 years. It was rented to Rob when he came to Ambridge to manage Berrow Farm.

At one point, Piggy changed her will to leave her house, The Lodge, to Helen. The rest was going to go to Tom.

After Otto the bull did some dancing on Tony, Piggy changed her will yet again, leaving everything just to her 3 children.

For those of you that have Facebook accounts, you can see a spreadsheet of who owns what and who lives there here: https://lookaside.fbsbx.com/file/Ambridge%20Property%20Details.xlsx?token=AWxLVY4_2ni1nNnjzt8TnEoWp3zX-c5qVELGrtntpw_aUBoxMp6GDWWrbvyMhofyN4fiSKNrkmLff5WwLqDjTaYk2Eq2W3-yb8szQksJbK555LZYNFp27TJKyvmo-yv_rT9iDuMcSKScFw4Cf7Vd1qgc
Thanks Lenny. Perhaps you or Mikey can tell me about Rob and Jess. Had they split up when he took up with Helen, like he said in court?

Hoppy....I think that Rob and Jess's marriage was effectively over, when he took up with Helen.

But he did visit Jess at least once, and had sex with her, and thus the paternity issue came up regarding child 9 months later. There was a lot of speculation at that point, regarding the outcome ( not his aparently ) and that he might have faked the test in some way.
I remember the paternity test issue, but I wasn't in Ambridge when he first arrived in the village. Did Jess come with him and leave, or was he on his own?

Lenny is fast becoming AB's resident Archers Expert, so perhaps he might have a go at this !

My memory is that they arrived together but the marriage didn't last very long. I recall a disastrous party that they gave, where everything went horribly wrong. Its obvious, now of course, that Robs controlling behaviour was to blame.
I thought he arrived alone, his wife 'to follow' when her job finished, that was why he kept his relationship with Helen very quiet at first. He was also very reluctant to introduce Helen to his parents, weren't they due to visit, according to him, then cancelled at the last minute? He wanted to keep his two lives very separate.
Jess was living in Hampshire as her father was sick (he subsequently died) while Rob started work At Berrow Farm (January 2013 onwards). He was going back for weekends, but I think that stopped once Helen had flung herself at him. He then dumped her when Jess came to Ambridge (October 2013) Jess left again after a party she arranged was ruined by Rob being sulky. He'd ordered some food from Ambridge Organics, and when Helen and Krusty turned up to deliver it, Jennifer asked them to stay and serve it to the guests. The party is known for the dressed salmon that nobody touched, and was dropped on the floor at the end. Jess left the next day, and Helen moved in to Bloody Hell Cottage a few weeks later.

Rob went back to Jess for Valentines Day 2014, and as we know now, he raped her. She got pregnant with someone else a week later.
Zebo: The aborted parents visit was never quite explained. Did they actually cancel, or did Rob not even invite them in the first place?
Question Author
I thought Helen did rather well this evening.

But how realistic is it, that the the same Judge that officiated at the trial, is also now hearing the custody hearing ?
I don't think that he ever invited them, he was being very keen to keep the two sides of his life apart.

Well....there wasn't a dry eye in this house !
