Digital radio
I've discovered "Our kind of music" on digital radio. This gives 24 hours of uninterrupted music from the 30's, 40's & 50's --- Ella, Nat King Cole, Sinatra, big bands, show tunes etc. No adverts, but a slightly irritating regular announcement that "This is our kind....". Nevertheless very enjoyable for my generation BUT who funds it?

Sounds great can't get it in my neck of the woods even the very useful web site provided by vehelpfulguy does not play live on air very good.
Why with all the stations that the BBC have, could they not reserve one for this kind of music? They cater for the young with endless stations blaring out pop-music, and even specially dedicated classical stations. Then why could they not provide a station to broadcast 30s-40s-50s music? After all we have paid a licence fee for long enough.
