There are no following actions. It's an entertainment show, not a law court.
Both parties get a night in a hotel and expenses and the producers pay the 'compensation'.

Do you mean what happens in a TV show like this (where the TV company pays in the case of this show as others say) or in a real court (where a long process may have to follow and the debt mayor may not ever actually be repaid in part or full)?

It is NOT a court it is a TV show. It has no legal standing at all . As said the TV company pay all the awards and give the 'contestants' expenses and an appearance fee! Win / Win for all .

The same sort of set up as the Jeremy Kyle show. I reckon each participant gets about £300 worth of expenses, more in some cases.
It makes cheap tv.
