The Ultimate Flounce
22 Answers
Reading another recent thread (with Retrocop's brilliant poem), it occurred to me that Britain's proposed exit from the EU was the Ultimate Flounce - cutting off one's nose to spite one's face.

Hardly cutting one's nose off from this side of the table though. We were willing to deal as long as the vital red lines weren't ignored. The other side though, well they were ok with demanding the ridiculous and refusing to budge, presumably shored up by the thought that rebels in the UK would stop it all eventually.

One can do exactly that and say.. Brexit is actually just a big ol flounce.
Ironic.. so ironic.
So.. a load of people (brexeteers) think it's unfair how the EU system works (even though it's democratic).. So because they keep losing (in their minds) the election of who is in charge, and they claim.. "unelected bureaucrats" (even though they're democratically elected).
Now.. due to this brexit! yay!!
However not everyone was up for it (remoaners i think the brectums call us) so because of this, and because of how close the vote was we felt it was not democratic to peruse the flounce. but, apparently that's not democracy, and we were all called snowflakes.
Ironic, no?
Ironic remaners are called snowflakes and called names due to not being happy with the vote.. When the entirety of brexit was kickstarted by some brectums not being happy with a vote.
The whole thing is pathetic and so is anyone who even dares to imagine they have the first clue on what impacts brexit will have globally and to the UK.

A flounce would imply that we are abruptly leaving because we are not getting what we want.
The reality is that the UK politicians/negotiators/Government have been unable to decide themselves what they want, so they have been unable to ask the EU.
If anything, they are running away from negotiating a deal because they can’t actually perform the task.

The reality is that the UK politicians/negotiators/Government haven’t been negotiating Brexit at all. They, together with the EU negotiators, have been attempting to find a way to keep this country tied to the EU.
