with Keeley Hawes, Josette Simon amongst others. On BBC i player 3 episodes, most definitely worth a watch. Its about a group of friends who go on holiday together to a Spanish resort and the ensuing gunmen who set out to kill as many people as possible. Its suspenseful and dramatic in equal measure and the human stories behind the tragedy.

its only on BBC i player, as it was shown over three nights recently.
I watched one and a bit episodes then gave up. It's three hours of people tearing about inside a hotel, hiding in attics and cellars, whilst a gunman (or gunwoman) takes pot shots at the guests. The hotel is said to be in a remote location (explaining why armed police cannot respond quickly) but at the beginning guests were seen arriving and departing in coaches for the airport. Keeley Hawes, apparently an ex-police officer, is thus left to handle the problem.
It didnt quite work for me; very predictable with affairs and marital rows, plus everyone was typecast.

shame as i quite enjoyed it, taut and very well played....

I was trying to think of the name

thanks

I watched the first episode and thought, a bit like Bloodlands, that it was too "plotty" with not enough character development. I wasn't thinking "why would someone do this", "how would I react", but how that they stretch this shoot-em-up to 3 hours.
