It just because, whatever we think of them, to her he's the bees knees and the love of her life. So those of us with caring, compassionate natures, could empathise with her situation!
But I did wonder about the gloves, maybe it was some private joke between them. Were they exfoliating gloves perhaps?!

I'm so cynical. I can't help thinking Lisa is doing great without Mario and he's getting worried he'll lose her. And/or had to put in an appearance at any cost so as not to be forgot by the audience.
