Kate Piper - My Beautiful Face
17 Answers
Channel 4 last night - What a brave lovely gorgeous girl and what a cruel awful painful thing she has had to go through because of that dangerous psychotic man.
I do not want to imagine how I would feel if that were my daughter - but I do know I would be so proud of her, the way she has faced up to things (no pun intended) and I wanted to hug and tell her she is still so beautiful. I cried buckets - not pity or sympathy (though she deserves it) - but pure astonishment at her bravery.
Well done Katie, all the best for the rest of your life my love. I hope you find happiness.

I pity the 2 "men" involved. how sad and small are they? as for Katie.. wow, I wish her the best of everything. she's been through so much and still has it all ahead of her.
there are a couple of groups for her on FB with thousands of supporters, probably much more today than yesterday.

If that were my daughter, I'd want to hunt that b****** down and kill him.
I know you have to put a brave face on (once again, no pun intended) but boy, it must be hard when you see a child of yours hurt and suffering like that.
But, I would be so proud of Katie.
The cctv image of the moment that thug threw that acid was heartstopping - a split second and that girl's life changed forever. I don't know how she could bear to watch that.

in my wildest and weirdest of imaginations i can never come to comprehend why someone - who doesn't even know her but was asked to by her boyfriend? - would throw burning acid in another persons face. pure evil doesn;t even come close.
i think she is very brave for continually facing such a cruel world the way she does.

Bless her, how brave she must be. And probably was worse for her than anyone else as she relied on her face so much. I do find it hard her though when she said she would go out with person with disfigured face. Maybe now but I doubt she would before. Maybe it has made her realise looks arent everything.
I watched the documentary earlier this evening and was impressed by Katies determination and thoroughly heartbroken by her story, especially the footage of her having nightmares.
She has shown tremendous bravery and I was also in admiration of her family. Her sister was amazing and her parents support never wavered.
A truly heartwrenching and heartwarming programme and I wish Katie and her family well.

I watched this aswell, Salla - apart from the terrible scars to her face, she also had trouble breathing and swallowing. What a wonderful Mum, Dad and Sister she has to give her strength. When her sister took her shopping to the local mall, there were a couple of blokes gawping at her - I can't believe how ignorant people can be for staring at people with disabilities.
Seeing her in hospital and her injuries turned my stomach, good luck to her, she seems bubbly enough to get a job on TV but a few people I`ve spoke to about this have different opinions, they say she was a wannabe wag who was out clubbing most nights and should have known better than to book a hotel room with someone she met online two weeks earlier
That said, no-one deserves to be attacked like that
