Having watched the X Factor this evening, I saw they were wearing different kind of poppies than the normal one. Does anyone know how to get a hold of these poppies?
I never wear them, after reading an expenses list of all the top British Legion fat cats, it makes the MPs expenses scandal look like pocket money and it`s a disgrace that every penny they claim for comes from the poppy money, and I`m not talking about a few thousand quid here and there
vulcan, a fellow I knew used to run a British Legion club and was on the committee and he showed me a list of expenses claimed by the top brass, all of which came from the poppy fund
Like I said, I have the utmost respect for every soldier who fought for this country but the way the poppy money is handled needs to be looked at and I think the way every person who appears on live TV wearing a poppy is doing it because they are told to and not because they want to
After a quick google search I found that you can buy the poppies for £35. Only £5 goes to the Charity so the best thing to do is to donate £35 to the charity itself and have a normal paper one.
