What did you think of it? Beats me how they all got down from Dunstanburgh to Newcastle so quickly all the time. Didn't the castle look magnificent?

I gave up on it half way through. I could not relate to any of the characters and the plot didn't hold my attention.
Oh no! I grew up around there, Chrissa - what programme was this, please?
Saw the last hour. Vera looks more like a bag lady who might be spending the night in the cells rather than an inspector.
not bad hopefully will get better
Vera ITV @ 9. Starring Brenda Bleythn
Gave it fifteen minutes and couldn't get Columbo out of my head as I watched so I gave up
It was ok although I did fall asleep half way though! An hour would of been enough!
I don't know the area chrissa, but really enjoyed it!............love Brenda Blethyn anyway!..........

I thought it was too long and the plot wasn't very strong. Dunstanburgh Castle is just 10 miles from where I live so I enjoyed it for the wonderful scenery, but then I'm biased.
I thought it was absolute drivel............
I thought it was ok but the camera work was sending me a bit wobbly bobbly.
I didn't expect to like it, but actually I quite enjoyed it and will watch it next week.

Have just finished reading the book, there was alot left out in the TV programme. I think maybe it would have been better to spread it over two evenings to get more of the plot in., would have made alot more sense. There are 4 books in the series and this one was number 3 thought that was odd, why not start with the first one
I saw first half which started after Corrie at 8pm but it didn't hold my attention 6/10

It didnt hold my attention either, i wish i had watched 'The Hotel' instead but thankfully have got it on video...
I usually like Brenda Blethyn but not when she looks like a bag-lady police inspector who seems to have a glass in her hand even when on duty! Too grim for me.
just goes to show you can't please everybody, I loved it & am looking forward to the rest of the series.Ron
