Chambers 21st Century Dictionary (online) has wholegrain as one word. This is the usual format found on foodstuff packaging.

My 1990 paper copy of Chambers English Dictionary lists the word as Whole'grain. I looked it up when is was rejected last night.

I have only seen bits of Pointless and did not understand any of it. It would have helped I suppose if I had seen the first episode where it explained the rules but it seems to me to be the most pointless quiz show ever shown.
