This series (and the last) with Father John Paul on Barra is nowhere near as good as the ones on Scilly especially now that the very likeable Father Roddy has been moved to the mainland. Father JP is very boring and appears somewhat lazy!

His was the voice you hear putting the camera's questions, as it were. I knew him, he was a really nice bloke who fell in love with Barra while he was there.
He could only show what goes on within the church. He didn't choose the people or, indeed, influence what happened. It's only meant to be a reflection of what goes on. I do have some small idea what's in the rest of the series and would suggest that keeping an eye on it will be worth doing. It's not a soap, but there is some interesting stuff to come, I believe.
Cheers.
