I don't rate him at all, he lacks personality, sorry :-)

I agree but hope that he will grow into the job!
I saw a trailer last week and wasn't too impressed. Wasn't too impressed with that other presenter Stellings (?).
It's never been the same since the demise of Richard.
seems a strange choice, but then it's a bit of a strange programme.

Wogan would be ideal. He has the right amount of blarney.
Nick Hewer was excellent on HIGNFY the other week............
Wasn't overly impressed yesterday, but as has been said ''early days yet''!
Sorry, I can only remember a startlingly attractive young lady. :P
Douglas.......seconded! :-)
He might grow on me, but I think they should have chosen someone younger
and with a bit of oomph in his personality!
I stopped watching when the Stellings (sorry can't remember his first name) man started, I just didn't like him at all. Will give this new fellow a chance. I used to like the two Des's's's, but of course, there's been no-one who could come near to Richard, and they did treat Carol very badly. It used to be a programme I never missed. I did actually audition for it but wasn't good enough. Long time ago.
Went to see it when it was Richard, and he signed his book 'Matinee Idle' for me. Bless him.
I agree with Red, Jimmy Carr on the C4 mash up was brilliant.
I shall continue to watch the programme whoever the presenter because I
like word games and my brain needs the exercise as I get older. If I didn't
do quizzes and crosswords everyday my brain would be pap!
Just popped over to have a quick peek. He makes me think of a languages master in a private school. (I've no idea what they were like)
Cupid 04 - I always watch University Challenge and then switch over to BBC4 for Only Connect - best programmes of the week. (imo)
I never watched the other programme he was from. Someone remind me of
the programme please.
He was Lord Sugars gopher in The Apprentice.
University challenge, questions a bit too hard for me. I like the general
knowledge bit at the end of mastermind though.Never sen only connect.
Have to give tat one a try. Thanks hellywelly4.
As you say its early days, but I wasn't too keen on him yesterday, he was professional and obviously was nervous at taking on the show but he doesn't have the personality for it, to severe looking, I did like Jeff Stelling he had a good sense of humour, you need to have some banter, I think there are better presenters out there, It is a light hearted programme so we need someone like Bradley Walsh, Jasper Carrot, but the ultimate presenter would be Stephen Fry
