Charity collections at supermarket door

Am I alone in feeling a bit annoyed by this?
Presumably the store management must agree to them being there, but I don't like having to run the gauntlet on the way in and out.

They start packing your bag before you can say no, so you feel obliged and they dont pack things correctly and then on quite a few occassions not even said thank you when Ive put money in the bucket which Ive usually had to dig from the bottom of my bag as I pay by card most of the time. I say thank you out loud until they look up and understand what Im asking. I hate bad manners above everything else !
The last straw for me was in the run-up to Christmas at my local tesco - two burly blokes with some logo or other were literally bawling at shoppers along the lines of 'c'mon GIVE GIVE GIVE'. I was amazed that the store allowed it.
The way I view giving is that you should give what you can afford as a private matter and should never respond to any attempt to 'oblige' you. The latter is just the same as any aggressive begging.

I give whenever I can - A small amount to most charities. I give more to local small charities that also collect in the foyer of Morrisons. The collectors just stand in the cold foyer and I admire them. They don't pester. I am not so keen on the offer at the checkout to pack for charity because I don't like people packing for me, but I can't say it annoys me.
It's not as if they rattle a tin under your nose. It is easy just to ignore them.
